Salang, Dhading
Salang is the beautiful village that lies in central part of Dhading district, Nepal. It is 90 km from capital (Kathmandu) and takes approximately 3 hours by bus from Kathmandu. Salang unites castes like magar, Brahmin, newar, cheetri etc. Huge number of magar people live here with their unique cultural and tradition. Most of the population of Salang depends upon agricultural activities like growing cash crops, food crops and animal husbandry. Also tourism is growing business there at Salang. Village sightseeing and natural beauties along with different species of flora and fauna are major attraction of Salang.
For tourism, siddhalekh is best and beautiful place at salang. Siddhalekh is 1300 m high from sea level and is famous for pilgrim palace of Dhading. Holy temple of lord Shiva is also place to visit there. Hills of siddhalekh are usually covered by rhododendron (at seasons). Siddhalekh from height also gives best view of other 49 villages of Dhading district.
